Our Disciplines!

Trap Shooting

Comment: It is where most people start.

Trap shooting is distinguished by the targets being launched from a single “house” or machine, generally away from the shooter.

Time to shoot 25 clays: 20min

Skeet Shooting

Comment: Great for learning to lead a clay:

Skeet shooting is a recreational and competitive activity whose participants use  shotguns to attempt to break clay targets which two fixed stations mechanically fling into the air at high speed and at a variety of angles.

Time to shoot 25 clays: 25 min

Universal Trench

Comment: Not for the faint hearted!

A variation on the theme of trap shooting, sometimes known as five trap . Five traps are installed in a trench in front of the shooting stands, all set at different angles, elevations and speeds, and upon the call of “Pull!” by the shooter any one of the five machines, selected at random, will be released.

Time to shoot 25 clays: 30 min

Down the Line

Comment: A variation of Trap.

Targets are thrown to a distance of 45 to 50 metres at a fixed height of approximately 2.75 m and with a horizontal spread of up to 22 degrees either side of the centre line. Each competitor shoots at a single target in turn, but without moving from the stand until all have shot at five targets.

Time to shoot 25 clays: 20 min

Sporting Clays!

Comments: Basically, anything goes (and comes)!

Unlike trap and skeet , which are games of repeatable target presentations, sporting clays simulates the unpredictability of live-quarry shooting, offering a great variety of trajectories, angles, speeds, elevations, distances, and target sizes.

Time to shoot 25 clays: 30 min

Compak

Comments: A great discipline for the whole family!

Similar to  sporting clays but taking place in a smaller area. The name Compak Sporting is a protected, registered  trademark with a code of sports rules, owned by  FITASC (Fédération Internationale de Tir aux Armes Sportives De Chasse ).

Time to shoot 25 clays: 30 min

English Sporting

Comments: Great for honing your shooting skills!

Targets are thrown in a great variety of trajectories, angles, speeds, elevations and distances and the discipline was originally devised to simulate live quarry shooting, hence some of the names commonly used on sporting stands: springing teal, driven pheasant, bolting rabbit, crossing pigeon, dropping duck, etc. Also referred to as English doubles as most clays are thrown in pairs.

Time to shoot 25 clays: 30 min
